The Talking (not walking) Toddler

It has been a long time since I've done an update on Griff! He is learning and doing more and more every single day. In the last week his vocabulary has exploded! He jabbers all day, everyday! Here are the words that he's really good at:
hi (says this all day to everyone, including strangers, several times over and over)
bye-bye (while waving)
night-night
mama
dada
papa
ruka (sometimes just ka)
no no
go go! (loves to watch Go Deigo Go, mostly just the opening credits with the song)
tree
ball
juice
drink
ba-ba (meaning bottle)
cracker
eye (while poking either himself or us in the eye)
down (which means up and down to him)
bite
moo
meow
He will also repeat after me if I tell him to say:
cheese
please
thank you
choo choo
woof woof
Mary (our babysitter)
He is such a blast! He is so funny and keeps me busy all day long!
He goes up and down the stairs at light speed. He has also learned how to climb and is quite proud of himself. He throws the pillows on the floor and stands on them to get himself up there.

Here are a few more pictures of the boy in action.

So, no, he still isn't walking. He stands up on his own all the time but as soon as he realizes it, he sits right down. He actually took about 6 steps today, but again, plopped down when he looked around and noticed he wasn't holding on to anything. So, I think he'll probably be running circles around me by the end of the month!
At his 15 month check up he weighed 20.8 lbs (still in the 5th percentile) and is healthy as a horse!

Yeah, I wouldn't rush the walking thing. They just get faster and into more trouble. My kids were all slow walkers, thank heavens.

Keaton was 16 1/2 months before he took his first steps and 18 months before he was fully walking. It was awesome! The sooner they can walk the sooner they can run away from you EVERYWHERE you go. Enjoy his inability to walk while you can. Life is about to change dramatically!
Also he is the CUTEST!
