For the past couple of years we have ventured down to my sister Missy's house in Mona for the Miller Family Christmas Party. Missy is the a wonderful hostess and always keeps us entertained. We always start out with the food, of course! Then we played Christmas bingo, guessed how many ornaments were on the Christmas tree and reenacted the Nativity (Marc was a shepherd). This year my darling niece Taylor is dating a boy named Chandler. He was very brave and sang and played his guitar for us. He is super talented!

Thompson Orthodontics Christmas Party

Here are some highlights...

Some of my cute co-workers

Good Food

White Elephants (we took a fish)

Fun Gift Baskets

We had a great time and my boss was so generous. It's so much more fun to hang out with these guys when we are not at work. I felt like a totally different person than my normal, stressed out, grouchy, working self.

Five years ago on Christmas-

Marc asked my dad if he could marry me to which my dad replied, "It's about damn time."
Marc had his friends wrap him up in a human sized box.
Marc's friends dropped this large box off on my parents doorstep.
I tore off the wrapping paper (thinking that I would find a dog inside).
I found Marc inside hunched over, sitting Indian style, with a ring box in his hand.
Marc looked up with fear in his eyes and said, "Lindsey, will you marry me?"
I stood there barefoot in my red pajamas and bawled my eyes out (I'm not sure that I ever answered him or looked at the ring).

That was pretty much the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!

I need to chill...

We decorated our tree tonight. After a minor disagreement where Marc told me to "quit acting like Cathie and just have fun," and I told him that he is mean and there was nothing wrong with strategically placing ornaments, we compromised and it turned out great.

Marc and Ruka were rockin around the Christmas Tree

Cutest Way to Stay Warm

My sweet Mama gave me and each of my sisters a beautiful quilt for Christmas this year. She made six of these beauties and no two are alike! She started working on them in January and finally finished them in October. She is so thoughtful and talented and I'm so glad that I get to learn to sew from the best. Thanks Mom! You've really outdone yourself! (inside joke)

What November?

Here's what we have been up to...

My friend Ashley came to visit from Colorado. We got together for some good ole girl gossip time.

Marc has diligently been working on constructing the bedroom that I destroyed. While he was in the process of sucking the old insulation out of the attic, he fell through the ceiling. Don't worry he's ok.

We marked 5 years since my dad got hurt. I love him so much and am so glad that he is happy and healthy!

I went to see Twilight with my sisters Steph & Jill, & my niece Addie. That's right, we went at midnight! We're pretty hardcore.

Ruka was just her cute self, all month long.

Marc's friend Joe came home from med school in New York, so they got together with some old friends. They partied it up with an all night session of Rock Band.

My Grandma, Olivene Miller, passed away on November 26th. We had her 90th birthday party planned for the next day. We had a great celebration and shared lots of stories and memories about Grandma. We love and miss her very much!

We are so thankful for our health, our home, our friends, our family and all that the Lord has blessed us with.
