A Few Words On Pregancy

-I have never had to use so many public restrooms IN MY LIFE! YUCK!
-Is my face having a baby? Why is it so large?
-Sneezing... you know what happens!
-Hormones and emotional breakdowns: please know that when this happens that this is not the real me. My brain has been taken over by a crazy person and after crying myself to sleep I WILL regret my behavior in the morning.
But most importantly
-I LOVE feeling this little guy move! It is so amazing to me.

Magically Delicious!

This little beauty has been nothing but bliss! Marc has become quite the smoothie extraordinaire with the Magic Bullet! I have enjoyed a smoothie almost everyday since Marc's birthday. And the best part is that I haven't had to make a single one!Such a great treat for a hot summer day!

Happy Birthday Marc!

Today is Marc's Birthday! We enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner at Tepanyaki.
Preparing himself for the catching of the shrimp...

And now time for the gift. Marc has longed for this little piece of infomercial kitchenware for quite some time. And finally, today, his wish came true.

So, he got a blender for his birthday. I know, I feel bad for him too.
Thanks for being born babe! I LOVE LOVE LOVE you way more than there are blenders in the whole, wide, world and then some!

Words of the Future Father

Almond Joy's got nuts...

and so does my BABY!

That's right! We are having a BOY! The above picture is a not so great picture of the profile. Most importantly though, everything looks perfectly healthy!

P.S. Marc was so excited he almost threw up!

What a Day!

Ultrasound day and Marc's birthday! I made celebratory cupcakes for the occasion.
Waiting anxiously for the fun to begin
Recovering from the shock of the exciting news!
My Dad eating a BLUE cupcake to celebrate!
So now we move on to preparing for the little guy! I can't believe we still have to wait 4 1/2 more months!

Roadtrip!

Meet the Knapps. Well at least four of the six. We met this amazing family at church and became great friends just in time for them to move to California.

Over Memorial Day weekend we made a quick trip out to see them. These boys LOVE Marc. They were all over him for the entire three days that we were there. They wrestled, climbed trees, ran and jumped all over the place!

Marc is going to be an awesome dad as long as he can keep his energy level up.

We went to a place called Whitewater that used to be a fish hatchery and is now a place where you can camp, picnic or just walk around and feed the fish. It was beautiful.

Ruka was very interested in the fish. She got as close as she could without actually getting in the water. It was a hot day and she just plopped right down in the stream to cool off.

We had such a great time just hanging out with Tiffany and Joseph. We stayed up all night playing cards and talking. It was so fun!

Marc was a wonderful chauffeur. If I wasn't reading to him out loud I COULD NOT stay awake. Ruka and I weren't very entertaining traveling company. We both slept a lot. Here is a lovely picture of my belly with Ruka wrapped sleepily around it.

Our Trip to the Country

Last week we got to go visit Marc's sister Jeni and her family in Bowling Green , Kentucky. I have never been to Kentucky and I was so excited to go. We had so much fun! Although I don't recommend taking a flight that leaves at 12:53 a.m. it did make for a beautiful sunrise in Atlanta!
Jeni took us to Columbia to see the Pharmacy that Patrick owns and also to see the town that they lived in for several years. This is a picture of their house in Columbia that they completely remodeled, inside and out! Marc flew out to help them with it a couple of years ago. They did such a great job and I would love to live in this house!
Then we went on a tour of Mammoth Cave. It was awesome (except for the bugs).

We went to visit Patrick's parents in Owensboro. They live in a beautiful home that they built and they have 10 acres. It is a whole different world out there. Everything is so green and beautiful!

Who says you can't drive a John Deere and shoot a gun when you're pregnant? I seriously loved the tractor and sang "Hero" from Footloose the whole time that we were on it!
Oh how I love this baby Lance and he loves me too!

On our last day we went to Nashville and saw a few of the sights and went to a Nashville Sounds Baseball game.
Tennessee Titans Football Stadium

Thank You Jeni and Patrick for being such wonderful hosts and making us feel so at home! We love you guys and can't wait to come back!
