Thanks Dad
--Tonight while at my parents house--
Dad: "Where did you get that hat?"
Me: "Probably at Target or somewhere..."
Dad: "It's kinda cute."
My dad doesn't just say things like that. It made me feel good.

Good Luck Em!
My friend Emily is getting ready to take her test to become a helicopter pilot instructor. She already has her private pilot's license. (I know, I have the coolest friend ever!) I was honored to be her first passenger last May. We went up for over an hour and she did awesome and the flight was so much fun!
Good Luck EM! I am so proud of you for following your dream! You are amazing and will make a fantastic instructor!

It's Not Easy Being Queen
My adorable niece Taylor tried out for the Lehi Round-up rodeo queen today. I was proud to be part of her entourage (the hairdresser). Here are a few quotes from this morning.
Taylor: "I could never queen on regular basis."
Question: If you were on American Idol and could sing a song to your horse, what would it be?
Answer: "All I could think of was Love at Home"
Me: "Uh, that's a hymn."
Taylor: "Well, I've got my looks going for me!"
Shouldn't a queen have a servant to prepare the horses tail for her? Not this girl. She is a true, blue cowgirl!
After all of the preparation she was finally ready for the "modeling" portion. She also had to answer an impromptu question. She did a great job and looked beautiful! Missy made her skirt and it was amazing!
Horsemanship was next
And finally... she won! All Hail the Queen!
Congratulations Taylor!

I love a day off
My Husband is THE Man
In addition to his good looks and sparkling personality, he is so very talented.
Exibit A:
Scary "grainery" (or old cellar) behind our house that is 100+ years old. This picture was taken in the process of demolition.
He is now in the process of building a new shed, a.k.a. man heaven, to replace it. The new structure will be up and running in a couple weeks. For now it is a work in progress.
