Our Trip to the Country

Last week we got to go visit Marc's sister Jeni and her family in Bowling Green , Kentucky. I have never been to Kentucky and I was so excited to go. We had so much fun! Although I don't recommend taking a flight that leaves at 12:53 a.m. it did make for a beautiful sunrise in Atlanta!
Jeni took us to Columbia to see the Pharmacy that Patrick owns and also to see the town that they lived in for several years. This is a picture of their house in Columbia that they completely remodeled, inside and out! Marc flew out to help them with it a couple of years ago. They did such a great job and I would love to live in this house!
Then we went on a tour of Mammoth Cave. It was awesome (except for the bugs).

We went to visit Patrick's parents in Owensboro. They live in a beautiful home that they built and they have 10 acres. It is a whole different world out there. Everything is so green and beautiful!

Who says you can't drive a John Deere and shoot a gun when you're pregnant? I seriously loved the tractor and sang "Hero" from Footloose the whole time that we were on it!
Oh how I love this baby Lance and he loves me too!

On our last day we went to Nashville and saw a few of the sights and went to a Nashville Sounds Baseball game.
Tennessee Titans Football Stadium

Thank You Jeni and Patrick for being such wonderful hosts and making us feel so at home! We love you guys and can't wait to come back!

So Guess What?

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!
Before you start to judge the baby daddy let me tell you that I picked out his shirt because I thought it was hilarious! We told our families on Easter, hence the reason for the "due to hatch" shirt.
So here are the deets:
- I'm 15 weeks along
- Due October 23rd
- I haven't been sick at all!
- We are SO excited and a little scared!

P.S. Marc is a one hit wonder!

Time Flies

1st Date: May 1, 1999
Wedding Date: April 17, 2004
Here's to 5 years of marriage with the love of my life, 10 years with my very best friend, and many, many more amazing years to come! I love you! Happy Anniversary!

What the...

SO MUCH FOR MY LAST POST! Well this would have been better had it been posted the actual day of the storm but that was not possible due to the fact that our internet was down for 2 days afterward...

This is the tree in our backyard that snapped in half and just happened to come down over the power line.

So we lost a couple of trees, and power for about 5 hours and woke up to a house that was a balmy 55 degrees. All of American Fork looked like a disaster with trees all over the ground.

So anyway, that was a total drag and Marc spent the weekend chopping down the trees and hauling them off. Our backyard sure feels bigger now. But then we have a day like today and it's 73 degrees outside. What the???

Spring!

I'm loving the spring weather. Well, the sunny, warm part and the rainy part. I do NOT like the snowy, windy part. I think that the last two days have been absolutely beautiful (rain included)! So, just remember the April Showers bring these lovelies to those who are motivated enough to plant them. These are courtesy of my mom's yard.

As for me and my house... we will stick to our low maintenance landscaping.

i love my friends

I came home from work today and was greeted by this huge box! Getting mail is the best! And Emily is the only one that I ever get anything fun from. She sent me the coolest sewing box full of everything I will ever need! My favorite are the black and white face buttons! SO COOL! You always make me feel so special. Thanks Em you are the best!

Then my friend Lacey and I were treated to a Jazz game by our friend Janette. Janette's birthday and mine are 2 days apart so we went out to celebrate. We got to go to the VIP dinner and had sweet seats on the 18th row! It was so much fun! Janette you spoiled us! Thank you so much!

i love him

Marc treated me to a wonderful date night for my birthday. We started out with dinner...

Then we were off to Kingsbury Hall to see Odyssey Dance Utah perform the ballet Giselle. This was a modern take of the ballet that was originally performed in Paris in 1841. It was awesome! Marc was so thoughtful and creative to come up with this idea!

Marc got really sick of me taking picture after picture. He curses digital cameras.

Thank you for such a sweet birthday gift babe! I sure do love you!
