Rivalry Relay

I had a total blast running the Rivalry Relay with my friend Kayla and a team of awesome, hilarious and tough little ladies!  There were 6 of us and one sweet husband who drove our fanny's from exchange point to aid station and all through the race!  The race started at the University of Utah and ended in Provo near BYU.  We each ran 3 legs over the course of race.  I was lucky enough to get the first leg, starting at 6:00 a.m.  My favorite time to run!

It was such a fun experience.  If I could change one thing it would be the heat!  I do not like running when the sun is up.  The heat coming off the asphalt felt like it was burning through my shins.   That part was not fun!
Probably one of the most memorable parts of this race for me was when Griffin called and said, "MOM! I just went poop on da Toy- Wit!"  Ha!  Oh it made my day!

Done, done, done, done, done and DONE!

Love this girl!

I could not have done this without the support of my man.

Such a fun race!  I can't wait to do it again next year!

On the Potty Train

While I was in Montana I decided that it was time to start potty training when I got home.  I read up on a couple different methods and dove in full force! The following photos are what the next two days consisted of.

Drinking, drinking, drinking!

Photobucket
Nakey playing.  This process would have been a lot easier without Luke around, bless that babies soul!  One of the things that I read recommended that you get all other children out of the house for the day.  I should have done that.  Luke did not like not having the attention that he is used to and he got into ALL KINDS of mischief!
Photobucket
Love the underoos and that little bum!
I set the timer for every 15 minutes and I'm pretty sure it was one of the longest days of my life!
Photobucket
We tried lots of things, ok!
Photobucket
Griffin loved calling family and friends each time he went in the potty.  Thanks to everyone who acted so excited for him!

All in all I think that he did really great!  I kept this little record because I know that in the future I will want to refer back to it when I go through this with Luke. IMG_2365_zps4a8350c9
And of course he got a sweet reward for all of his hard work!
Photobucket
I'm writing this post almost a month later and I consider him pretty well trained.  He keeps his pants dry for naps and has stayed dry through the night for the last 3 nights in a row!  He's pretty amazing if you ask me.  The process was a little bit too easy... I'm nervous for how things will go with Luke!

Sisters

The day after I got home from Montana I escaped away to Sundance with my mom and sisters to see Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.  It was AWESOME!  I love the Sundance Summer Outdoor Theater.  It is so fun!
Photobucket
Here we are before the show started.  We make sure to get there super early so we get a good seat!

Addie, Jill, Mom and those amazing Coconut M&M's!  Thanks Mom!

This is what happens when you dig through your mom's purse for entertainment...

Too much, CLAP CLAP, time on my hands!
Photobucket
And here we are with our matching Blickenstaff chins, just like last year!
So the play was awesome.  I thought the actors and actresses were fantastic and it was very well done.  All the music came back to me and brought back fond memories of watching the movie with my bestie, Ricks! During intermission I scored the last 3 mini loaves of warm bread and honey butter.  Booyah! A good time was had by all, even while hiking back to the car!  Thanks for such a fun evening Mom! And thanks for scheduling everything Steph!

And as if that wasn't enough, I got away the following night to see Wicked!  I have waited what seems like my whole life to see it!  Before the performance, Steph and I stopped in at the Grand America for Afternoon Tea.

Photobucket
So fun to be fancy!
Photobucket
Steph got the Berry Herbal Tea and I got the Coconut Almond Hot Cocoa, Mmmmm!
Photobucket
Everything was so cute and scrumptious!
Photobucket
Then we were off to Capital Theater for the show!  I was so excited!
Photobucket Photobucket
It was AMAZING!  I LOVED IT!  Steph has seen it 3 times and she said that this is the best Glinda she has seen.  She was hilarious.  The whole thing was awesome.  It was a blast!  Thanks Steph for spoiling me!  I love love love you and I hope I get to go see this again with you because surely three times is NOT enough!

Last Day in God's Country

The last day of our stay we headed about 40 miles North to Lakeside to visit Marc's Aunt Pam.  She lives in Santa Barbara, CA but has a second home in Montana.  Her home is so beautiful and not kid proof at all!  Ha!  So we did a quick tour of her home and then headed down to the dock at her house.
Photobucket
Griff took much more kindly to the water with a bucket and a shovel in hand.
Photobucket Photobucket
Both my boys had a blast and somehow didn't even mind the cold water.  Photobucket
Addie and I got brave and put on our suits to take the boys out a little further.  Look how beautiful this clear water is.  If you can get used to the cold and the hard rocks under your feet it is worth it to get in!
Photobucket Photobucket
We had a little picnic on the grass and enjoyed the afternoon with Pam.
Photobucket
Cort and I kept talking about how all we do now is take pictures of our kids.  So we decided to be selfish on my last night in town and take some pictures of us!
Here we are pair skating...  just one of the many pictures that we took.  We attempted many jumping shots, engagment type photos, and the list goes on.
Photobucket
Oh and hugging, lots of hugging.  Love this girl!
PhotobucketPhotobucket
And I LOVE this girl.  Darling Addie was my sister wife on this trip!  I wish I could have her full time.  It was so nice to have four arms and legs for a week.  I can't thank you enough Addie!
Photobucket Photobucket
We ended our wonderful week with a wonderful night in the hot tub without kids!
Photobucket Photobucket
I wish I could say that the trip home was a blissful one, but that was not the case.  Poor little Luke got sick about 10 minutes into our 10 hour drive so you can imagine how the rest of the day went.  Addie kept reminding me "it's about the memories"... she has such a great attitude!  We finally made it home.  Safe and Sound! Thanks for the memories Montana, til we meet again!

Relaxin'

There are OH so many ways to relax in God's Country.  Luke didn't get that concept.  He liked to start each day around 5:45 a.m.  Since no one else was awake yet we would go out on the deck to keep the house nice and quiet.
Photobucket Photobucket
About an hour later Griff would roll out of bed and join us on the deck.
Photobucket Photobucket
The deck has so much to offer... tugboats
Photobucket
Table dancing
Photobucket
Chillin
Photobucket
Watching the Sunrise
Photobucket Photobucket
And last but not least, Dog riding.  Ammo is a good sport.
Photobucket
When we weren't on the deck we had lots of fun inside Omie and Kug's house too!
They pulled out the balls and ball house...
Photobucket
then the swimming pool for balls, who need's Chuck E Cheeses?
Photobucket
And when we got tired of that, we just started pulling stuff out of the cupboards.
Photobucket
Another one of our relaxing daily activities was running/walking/hiking the driveway.  Omie and Kug's driveway is one mile round trip.  The way down is steep and easy.  The way up is steep and HARD!  We would pack up these little goobers and trek it on down the mountain.
Photobucket
And of course stop for a photo op on the way back up.  Can you believe how beautiful this place is?
Photobucket
Later we'd hop in the hot tub and stare out over the amazing Flathead Lake.
Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Once in a while we would get crazy (take showers and put clothes on) and head into town.
Photobucket
This little park was fun for everyone!
Photobucket
Luke loves the swing!
Photobucket
Griffin is terrified of the swing...
Photobucket
Luke got a little wasted... or maybe he was just loosing air because of the choke hold I have him in?
Photobucket

And we took a generous amount of self portraits.
